Advertising Guidelines

 

We can design and layout your ad for you at no additional charge.
However, if you submit an ad copy, please note the following specs:

General Overall Guidelines:

• File formats accepted: PDF, TIFF, JPG, AI (images embedded), EPS, INDD (please provide the links & fonts)

• For b&w ads please submit as grayscale.

• For color ads please submit as CMYK (not RGB).

• ALL graphic files must be a minimum of 300 dpi.

• All elements must be placed at 100% of size or larger. (Do not include crop marks.)

• Include all fonts, images/scans, logos/artwork.

• Do not nest EPS files in other EPS files.

• On 4/C ads, Pantone colors must be in CMYK mode.

If your ad does not meet the above specifications there may be a slight quality reduction.

If your ad must be recreated, please be aware that it may not look exactly like the original.

Is my ad copy 'camera ready'?

 

Before submitting your camera-ready ad to Neighborhood News,
please carefully review the following information:

An ad is considered “camera-ready” if it is ready to be used as-is, without any editing or modications. If you plan
to submit a camera-ready ad, it must meet these specications:

• It must be sent in one of the following file formats:

TIFF (High Resolution, at least 300 dpi)
JPEG (High Resolution, at least 300 dpi)
PDF (preferably with fonts embedded)
EPS
Adobe InDesign
Adobe Illustrator (with all type converted to outlines)

• If your ad will run in black and white (most ads), it must be submitted as a grayscale file.

• Color ads must be CMYK, not RGB.

• Ad dimensions must be proportional to (and at least the same size or bigger than) the ad space you
purchased.

• Do not include crop marks.

If your ad does not meet the above specications there may be a slight quality reduction. If your ad must be
re-created, please be aware that it may not look exactly like the original.

The following file types are NOT “camera-ready” and will have to be re-created:

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Publisher

that print advertising is quickly becoming the more preferred, exclusive, form of advertising.
• Most residents read their neighborhood newsletter every month. Many, many, residents save
them in case they want to refer back to them at a later date.

• Ads can be customized by neighborhood so that businesses can track exactly where their
customers are coming from. ($10 surcharge for each different ad.)
